The Association of Sustainable Reef Aquaculturists (ASRA) promotes captive-grown corals and other reef species for the marine ornamental trade, such that our hobby has no future impact on wild reefs. Our Mission is to: • educate practitioners by sharing propagation techniques, best practices and research for captive marine life • provide the aquatic pet industry with a suitable and reliable supply of standardized, pest-free, aquacultured broodstock • reduce the demand for wild-sourced marine organisms. Our goal is to create a community of aquaculturists, retailers and hobbyists who together can ensure the sustainability of the hobby.
